Our Convention ‘home’ for all events and functions, is the contemporary Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) and South Wharf precinct. Located in the heart of the city, on the Yarra River, the Convention Centre is surrounded by shops and restaurants and is sure to please.

MCEC is superbly located close to the heart of the CBD and just 30 minutes from Melbourne's International Airport. The venue is an easy walking distance from a range of accommodation options, which will be available to members to book at the time of registering for the Convention.

The modern complex is a landmark in the area and surrounded on all sides by trams, trains, buses, taxi ranks and ample car parking. A short stroll along the iconic Southbank Promenade places you in the heart of Melbourne city – Australia's culture, cuisine and events capital – where visitors can enjoy a perfect café latte or award-winning local wine at any time of day or night.

Assisted hearing devices

Most meeting rooms within the Convention Centre are equipped with a hearing assistance system. Visitors can loan a lanyard style infrared receiver. This will work directly with hearing aids fitted with a T switch or can be fitted with standard headphones.

We will require the following information:

  1. Date and time the receiver is required.
  2. Which rooms you plan to use the receiver (this service is not available in some rooms).
  3. Name of the borrower and contact telephone number.
  4. Collection location is at the Convention Centre Customer Service desk, which is located at the Convention Centre Place entrance of the Convention Centre.
  5. On collection we will require some form of identification
